"God anointed Jesus with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all ..."
From the prophecies written about Jesus, and from the way He ministered while He was on the earth, we believe it is still Jesus’ heart to heal the sick.
He loves to do good to those who are weak, sick, and broken (Acts 10:38).
He is humble and lowly of heart, longing to save and deliver. When sending out the apostles to do the work of His ministry, Jesus told them to go and heal the sick and to declare that the kingdom of God has come near (Luke 10:9).
He Himself bore our sicknesses and carried our pains; He was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.
When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: “He Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses."
Heal the sick, raise the dead, cure those with leprosy, and cast out demons. Give as freely as you have received!
These signs will follow those who believe ... they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.
When the sun was setting, all those who had any that were sick with various diseases brought them to Him; and He laid His hands on every one of them and healed them.
Heal the sick there, and say to them, "The kingdom of God has come near to you".
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
