our mission

"Connect people with Jesus"

It's in Jesus that we live and move and in Him we exist! We have found new life in Jesus and want to introduce you to Him so you can find this life too!

Acts 17:28 (NKJV)
... for in Him we live and move and have our being.
Hebrews 12:2 (NKJV)
... looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith ...

our vision

"Help people become whole in their spirit, soul and body and discover their purpose in Christ."

Jesus still heals today! He is working in us all and bringing us into perfection, a whole man, complete and mature in Him.

Complete spiritually, complete emotionally and completely healthy in our bodies!

1 Thessalonians 5:23 (NLT)
Now may the God of peace make you holy in every way, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ comes again.
3 John 2 (NKJV)
Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.
Ephesians 4:12 (NKJV)
... equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.

Our Purpose

"Grace City Church exists to establish God's restoration plan for this city and the people in it."

Isaiah 61:1-4 (NKJV)
"The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, because the Lord has anointed Me
To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God;

To comfort all who mourn, to console those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning,The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.

And they shall rebuild the old ruins, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the ruined cities, the desolations of many generations."
Isaiah 58:12 (NKJV)
"Those from among you shall build the old waste places; You shall raise up the foundations of many generations; ... You shall be called the Repairer of the Breach, The Restorer of Streets to Dwell In."
Titus 1:5 (NKJV)
"For this reason I left you in Crete, that you should set in order the things that are lacking, and appoint elders ..."
Acts 17:16 (NKJV)
"Now while Paul waited for them at Athens, his spirit was provoked within him when he saw that the city was given over to idols.

Our Values

1. Biblical Authority

“God has spoken to us through the Bible and we recognize it as the final authority for our lives.”

2 Timothy 3:16
“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,”

Why?

2 Timothy 3:17
“That the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

2. Faith

“God is well pleased because we live by faith. Therefore nothing will be impossible.”

Romans 1:17
“For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”
Galatians 3:11
“… the just shall live by faith.”
Hebrews 10:38
“Now the just shall live by faith; but if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in Him.”
Hebrews 11:6
“But without faith it is impossible to please Him …”

We will do the impossible, because we believe that "with God" ... ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE!

3. serving is growing

“We have been gifted, graced, and placed in the body. Putting our hands to work is strategic towards the overall growth of the church.”

Romans 12:6
“Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them …”

If we are not serving somewhere … we are not using our gifts in the body.

Ephesians 4:16
“From whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.”

We serve because we love. Because we love, we serve ... growth is the byproduct.

4. personal evangelism

“We take literal Jesus’ command of go and tell everyone about the gospel.”

Mark 16:15
“And He said to them, go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.”

We understand that if we don’t say something they may not ever hear about the gospel.

Romans 10:13
“… whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
Romans 10:15b
“… How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel … who bring glad tidings of good things.”

5. authentic fellowship

“Accountability, belonging, care, and spiritual growth happens best with relationally connected believers.”

Acts 2:42
“And they continued steadfastly in … fellowship … “
Acts 2:46
“So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart.
Hebrews 10:25
“And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another …”
1 Thessalonians 5:11
“… comfort each other and edify one another …”
Galatians 6:1-2
“Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted." “Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.”

We need each other. Period.

6. Generous giving

"Time, energy, talents and money are gifts from God and are meant to be shared."

John 3:16
“For God so loved the world that He gave …”

We give because God first gave to us.

Giving immunizes us against the disease of covetousness.
We give because we love.
We give because we live a giving lifestyle. (Luke 6:27-38)

2 Corinthians 9:8
“Let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity, for God loves a cheerful giver.”
Galatians 6:6
“Let him who is taught the word share in all good things …“
Philippians 1:5
“For you have been my partners in spreading the Good News about Christ from the time you first heard it until now.”
Philippians 4:17
”Not that I seek your gift, but I do seek and am eager for the fruit which increases to your credit, the harvest of blessing that is accumulating to your account.”
